Ultimate Seduction: Mercedes-Benz A-Class Concept and Supermodel Jessica Stam
The newly developed A-Class concept represents a consistent continuation of the progressive design language with a sporty and expressive edge, high quality materials and cool touch surfaces. This most dynamic interpretation of the Mercedes-Benz compact class, specifically targeted at a new generation of drivers.
Of course, in order to keep in that line of thought Mercedes only hired one of the most sought after photographer and big-name supermodel to create a film about the A-Class concept. Terry Richardson, the New York based photographer to the starts created a film with top-model Jessica Stam using the appropriate visual language for the concept car for the international spring/summer 2012 Mercedes-Benz Fashion commitment. The whole process seeks to embody the vision next generation of Mercedes-benz.
The model dressed in a ravishing black dress with lace sleeves, an exciting neckline and details made of feathers by Emanuel Ungaro’s head designer, Giles Deacon is seen running inside of a factory and garage until she finally reaches her beloved innovative car. The film showcases the expressive design of the fascinating vehicle’s exterior which perfectly combines technical innovation and pioneering functionality. The end-result is simply stunning with Stam’s hair, make-up as well as her provocative dress and stylish orange-red heels emanate the sexiness that Richardson is known for in his work.
According to Anders Sundt Jensen, Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars Brand Communication, “The Mercedes-Benz Concept A-CLASS is the vision of a new generation of vehicles that will soon become reality in their final form, We deliberately chose to produce our key visual with stars with a similar strength of character and individuality as the Mercedes-Benz Concept A-CLASS. The photographer Terry Richardson, model Jessica Stam and designer Giles Deacon are successful modern artists, who will continue to make the headlines in the future, too.”
